Music is an important part of worship at Shandon Presbyterian. Children, youth and adults are invited to share and develop their gifts by participating in the choirs. Other instruments are frequently used in services, as well.

HANDBELLS

CHIMERS - 3rd-5th grades
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.

This group learns basic bell ringing techniques and fundamental music reading skills, and has fun making music in ensemble.  No musicalbackground is necessary.
 
MIDDLER HANDBELL CHOIR - 6th-8th grades
Rehearsals: Wednesday afternoons from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.
This group builds upon the skills learned in Chimers bell choir. They learn more advanced ringing and music reading skills. They play more advanced music. If you did not play in Chimers, but are interested in the Middler Handbell Choir, please contact the director.
 
KEY RINGERS
Adult ringers, no experience required.
Rehearsals: Mondays 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

The Key Ringers bell choir is for adults who enjoy ringing less advanced music. Some basic music reading skills are needed, but the director will work with anyone interested in playing bells regardless of musical background.

TINTINNABULATORS
Experienced adult ringers, demanding music
Rehearsals: Mondays 6-7 p.m.

The Tinntinnabulators is an advanced handbell choir for experienced ringers. This group plays advanced music with a variety of technical and musical challenges.
