Outreach Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity • Blitz Build Going Well
Many thanks to the approximately 100 volunteers who are making the Habitat Fall Blitz a wonderful success for Shandon and the Brown family for whom we are helping to build the home. This project could not be accomplished without your time, effort and energy. Work started on October 13th and continued for the next seven days. The home will be finished the next two Saturdays, November 3rd and 10th and it is not too late to volunteer. Harold and Joshie Brown, along with their daughter and two grandchildren, are looking forward to having their own home. It will allow them to live a little more comfortably and will provide them with lower mortgage payments. The dedication date has not been set, but we will let you know as soon as it is announced. If you have questions about the project please feel free to call Jim Thames (699-1493) or Harry Bell (790-0223).

An Invitation from the OUTREACH MINISTRY

"To RESPOND as God's instruments of justice and mercy in the world."

The Ministry of Outreach works in various ways in our own community and in the world. We encourage and enable members of the congregation to witness to their faith, within the church, locally, and globally.

The Global & Community page details current ways to become involved.

The Volunteer Opportunities page outlines ways to become involved in the life of the church.

You are invited and encouraged to become an active partner in Shandon's Outreach Ministry.  To volunteer or to learn more about any of these outreach opportunities, please contact the Chair of the Committee:

Others support that work with prayers, donations of items, and gifts of money.
